Hi, I’m Amy Banas

My name is Amy Banas. I am a K-4 Technology Integration Specialist in Illinois. I first began my bullet journal journey in March 2020 when we had the COVID stay-at-home order. This was an extremely stressful time. I found that when I was stressed or needed a break, I was gravitating toward doodling and drawing. Drawing and bullet journaling was not just an enjoyable, fun, hobby, but was also something that became therapeutic for me. 
Fast forward to today, I have been bullet journaling for almost 2 years, have gone through three journals and have seen the positive impact it has had on me, my own kids, and on the students I work with. Throughout these 2 years, when I have shared my pages with others, time and time again, people would say, “I just don’t have enough time to design a bullet journal.”, “I’m not an artist.”, “I don’t even know where to begin!”. This is how Drawing Away Stress was born.
I still bullet journal for myself, but have found that  I can also use the journal pages I create to share with others in hopes to alleviate the concerns about starting a bullet journal, provide an option for those who are interested in getting started, and most of all, take the stress out of bullet journaling!
